"I was adventuring solo for a few days and stayed in the 3-bed hostel room at the Avon. The room was small but the bed was comfy, the amenities were nice (i.e. towels and toiletries in the bathroom), and the staff was welcoming and helpful. It is a funky, cozy, old-timey spot in the mountains, with a covered porch with rocking chairs so you can sit outside and look at the mountains winding down after a day of hiking or having your morning coffee. It’s nice knowing that a hotel isn’t waiting at the desk charging you a crazy deposit and holding money like you’re going to trash the place. There are fabulous views from every corner of the property and many areas to sit and enjoy the beauty. We are at the restaurant, Altezza, more th a once and enjoyed everything we tried.
