Huacachina.... Fun place that is not always on everyone's list when visiting Peru. South of Lima is a small city of Ica. Just outside of town is the desert oasis of Huacachina. A small lagoon surrounded by towering sand dunes, palm trees, restaurants and tiny hotels. The best activities are sandboarding and dune buggies. If in Peru, this area is worth considering for a fun side trip. We combined it with a trip down to the Nazca lines a little further south and glad we stayed here for a couple nights. Well worth it. #OnTheRoad
