"Facilities in room were great"

"Before going I spoke to the owner twice and she was very nice and answered all my questions. The Wheat Shed was so much nicer than the pictures, spacious rooms and spotlessly clean, perfect for our family get together. We wanted to chill out for the weekend and didn't leave the property, making the most of the hot tub. Can't recommend highly enough, thank you and will certainly go again."

"The cottage was lovely and cozy with comfortable beds and sofas. The smart TV was great with Netflix and Prime Video so we could entertain ourselves in the evening. There were a few items missing that we would have expected such as scissors, an iron and a bathroom bin. Other than that the house and kitchen was well stocked. The fridge is very small so if staying for more than a nighttwo and planning on eating in you'll have to go shopping regularly. The location is great with both Penrith and Keswick only a short drive away."

"Brilliant pub and place to stay! Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Food was amazing, I had the chicken burger and a very good fry up in the morning. I would highly recommend. "

"Lovely cottage with all the amenities that we required. Situated in a quiet village within close proximity of Penrith. Nice welcome box with tea, coffee etc and even treats for the dog. Good offroad parking at the back of the cottage and an enclosed front garden. Stayed for a week, excellent location for exploring Hadrians wall, lake district and yorkshire dales. "

"Chose the cottage as we needed to be near Skelton and proved to be the perfect spot for us. Excellent base to roam from and to explore the less touristy parts of Cumbria. The cottage itself was well equipped with the host on hand should they be needed but we didn’t experience any issues during our stay."

"Ideal for couples on a budget. Has all equipment needed to cook basic meals. Not ideal for people who don't like being in small spaces, lodges are much more spacious."
