"I would not recommend this place. Receptionist met us when we arrived. Told us there was staffing issues at their hotel in Blef. Gave us the code to the front doorand a number to call for emergencies. We went to dinner, came back at 930pm. There was not lights on inside or outside the hotel. We had the only car in the parking lot. We made our way up to the front door and had to find out where the light switches were. We fell on the steps . DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. "There's no question the location is absolutely stunning on the shores of lake bled. Directly looking across at the castle. Absolutely amazing views. The property itself is very old. The buffet side of the breakfast has plenty of fruit and pastries. They imply like you could order something except for all of the wait staff completely avoids you. The interactions at the restaurant were the same you see people there so you know they're not doing anything but almost impossible to flag anybody down...

"The 2-bedroom family suite with bled island and castle view was a tight space for a family of four and was in my opinion not worth the high price. On hindsight, renting a more spacious apartment would have been more comfortable and affordable. Good shower pressure but a small single bathroom. Be prepared to go up 3 flights of stairs if you have heavy luggage. The restaurant at old bled cellar was excellent and highly recommended. Hosts were friendly.
