"We received a nice greeting on arrival when checking in. Our room was okay but in need of some TLC. Two of the four windows would not open which in the current hot spell wasn’t good. The staff serving us when we ate were nothing special and didn’t really try to make us feel welcome, in fact one was quite surly. On checking out the poor guest relations continued without any engagement from the receptionist."
"The had not been dusted,No drawers to put clothes in, Not enough coat hangers, Waited over an hour for water to the dinner table, The woman that was front of house host in the dining room, Did not help the other two members of staff that one was on her second shift and the other was there second week, For being a five star hotel the standard is very poor, The two staff were run off there feet, When the front of house host stood around a lot, I have stayed in places that management helped the...
"Wonderful spot, especially with kids, as the common space has a slide, pirate ship climber, farm animals to see (goats, chickens, ponies) and grass to run on. The glamping cabins were quite clean and "cozy", as you'd expect, but we fit 3 adults and 3 kids in there. We were able to buy some firewood for a cooking fire. Definitely recommended for anyone looking to get a bit of a camping experience. Owners were very friendly as well, and generally available as needed."
"The staff were very helpful in preparing an early packed breakfast to take as we left early. We had arranged a late check in, but arrived about 30 minutes earlier and it took more than ten minutes to try and find a member of staff to check us in! After that it was absolutely fine!
There was tea in the room, very comfortable beds, and plenty of parking! We only stopped over night so I cannot comment on the wonders of the cooked breakfast or other facilities, but it served out purposes well!"
