"Great location and easy free parking which is always a bonus. The room was great and the best thing was the welcome where a lovely member of the team took the time to explain everything in person. This was absolutely brilliant, and whatever they didn't say was in a very well designed user manual/handbook. I would say excellent in every way!"

"The room was in a great location and accessed by keypad so no key needed. Pre-check-in was done online that everything was easy. The room as well located on the High Street and close to places we wanted to visit. The room was very clean, spacious and decorated beautifully. The bed was comfortable with lovely white crisp in. Plenty of hot drinks and orange juice and porridge provided. The over bath shower was fine but could have been better in terms of power and heat. The plumbing in this room is quite noisy, especially the boiler in the bathroom but closing the door when going to bed dialled the noise. The room faces the High Street so there is some expected noise from this but it did not bother us. The bistro below is separate to the rooms so there is no front desk so to speak but staff in the bistro were delightful and our breakfast there was amazing. You can park for free in certain bays in a car park just the other side of the High Street. 2 minute walk. Overall a delightful stay."

"It’s a picturesque old pub with an extensive garden area and a large parking space. It’s quite classy indoors and we were impressed by both the sophisticated dinner menu and the food itself - very good.We were welcomed warmly and shown to the Cowdray Room, which opens on to the beer garden. That wasn’t a problem as the pub closes at 10, and then it was an advantage as we were able to sit outside for breakfast with the place to ourselves. The pub will cook breakfast but not until 10.30 am, so there was a generous continental breakfast in the room for us - including fresh milk and juice, cereal and sticky buns etc. The only downsides were the atrocious WiFi and mobile signal, but that’s just a fact of geography; and the location at the intersection of two busy roads, which meant for a constant traffic noise in the outdoor area. It didn’t bother us in the room, though. Would gladly stay there again."
