"The hotel is under heavy renovation/construction which causes a lot of noise and issues. One day the hot water was off from 10 am to 3 pm. To get from the rooms to the front desk you have to walk through a roped off path beside a large area where the workers are working, which will be the lobby. The staff gave us an upgrade to reduce the noise and accommodated early check in. The room was exceptionally beautiful with all of the modern features. "Staff was very attentive and polite. The resort sits right in the middle of Waikiki. Only down side was meals were less than filling. For the cost I feel that the food and portion size were small. Breakfast was very unsatisfying however the restaurant called Eggs & Things is only two doors down. Overall stay was 4.5 star"

We very much enjoyed the minimalist style, and it offered the perfect balance of being close to a variety of activities and attractions, while also providing a relaxing place to unwind whenever we needed. "Hotel Vive is close to the beach, provides towels, mats, umbrellas, sunscreen and chairs to use. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good!"

"I don’t appreciate the fact that I paid in advance for a two bed room and I get there and I have a queen sized bed and a sofa bed. And I am supposed to be okay with it because the upgrade was free. Then the maid was trying to get in our room and because my friend wouldn’t let her in the front desk called up asking us are we okay because they heard we were sick. Like what? Overall the stay was amazing as usual. And we do this every year this one bad trip isn’t going to change that. Love this...
