"When you hear the expression you get what you pay for this was this hotel! Nothing drastically wrong with it but it’s dated. Bathroom was very dated. Bed was uncomfortable, pillows lovely though. Parking excellent. Room was very hot but it was during a heat wave ! If you’re looking for a cheap stay it’s perfect, if you’re looking for a luxury stay go somewhere else!"

"Couldn't wish for a better welcome, hosts were exactly my cuppa - laid back and relaxed at all times. Looked after well before I even got to the site and enjoyed an unexpected upgrade. Very decent breakfast to set me up also. Hope to stay there again soon!"

"Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. Lovely full cooked options and lots of fresh fruit with greek yoghurt and pastries etc .. The room and ensuite bathroom was simple but very pleasant and the bed comfortable. "I booked to stay one night with a chance I might need a second night. Room was a separate wooden chalet. Door very difficult to open. Small bathroom with shower a bit difficult to access unless you have long legs. Mirror near toilet not easy to see. Glad I didn’t need to make up. Breakfast was a bag with croissant and porridge to mix yourself and an apple. Jam, butter orange juice also provided but juice not very nice and make your own coffee from Nescafé in room. I wasn’t expecting the ritz but...

"Overall, it was good. However, the spa was anything but. Rather than relaxing, the pool was noisier than an Irish bar on St Patrick's day. With treatments, as they were not very good at all."
