"Comfortable stay at The Board Inn which is ideally situated in the centre of Hawes. The breakfast was served in a building next door and the lady who was on duty was very helpful, breakfast came quickly and was excellent"

"A little gem, absolutely loved pur stay! The cottage feel to our twin room (no.4) was in keeping with the village and the feel of the pub. The staff (man and woman on the evening service) made our stay! Loved eveything about it and will definitely return x"

"Picture postcard hotel. We had a garden room which was tastefully decorated and being able to sit in our own conservatory was great but the hotel had a bar and snug which were also lovely spaces. Beautiful garden with stunning views over to Hawes and it was just so peaceful to sit out there. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast and we also had dinner in the hotel and this was beautifully presented and delicious."

"Zentral gelegen und doch ruhig. Geschäfte u.Pubs sehr nah. Parkplatz vorm Haus. Haus nicht ganz einfach zu finden, da keine Hausnummer (wird sind nachts angereist). Gute Zimmeraufteilung, gut ausgestattete Küche. Nah an anderen Häusern, aber die Sonne scheint dennoch in die Zimmer."

"The cottage was traditional and quaint. The views from the windows were outstanding. The rooms were large and comfy. The only faults were the towels and bedding could do with renewing, and the on site parking is via an extremely tight access. Definitely would recommend to large groups as a great base for exploring the dales."

"We love Lilac Cottage, been here about 5 times and never fails to disappoint. Nothing immediate in the way of a shop in Sedbusk but that suits us as we like to walk into Hawes or to the Green Dragon for a pint at Hardraw. Sedbusk is just such a beautiful peaceful hamlet. The cottage is very old but homely, but has everything you need but don't expect a palace. Biggest compliment it that we keep returning."

"Cosy, comfortable and well-equipped cottage. Great location and walks on your door step.Only negative would be all the cupboards were full so nowhere to put your shopping/food unless you moved things to make space, and would benefit from some new chopping knives. Specs of rust and blunt.Would recommend and would stay again."
