This inn is amazing! A beautiful and unique octagon house that has been lovingly restored and decorated! Our innkeepers Kim and Gary were excellent hosts who truly care about the inn and sharing their love of the property and area with us. Remarkable attention to inn keeping details to ensure a pleasant stay and Kim’s breakfasts were creative and delicious. They had many great suggestions for places to explore during our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return again soon - we highly recommend this inn if you plan to visit the Finger Lakes

This B&B was in a historic Octagon house just a mile south of Hammondsport. It's a beautiful location and Hammondsport is a great little town. The breakfasts were amazing and they were able to make everything gluten free. I highly recommend this lovely place.

The property is quite lovely. The room had cool punch button light switches, and the staff who are also the owners were awesome. I had a spa treatment with Rosemary and it was so relaxing. They also highlight the delicious, freshly prepared vegan breakfasts with locally sourced ingredients. The location was awesome. I was there for a wedding and the Inn was only 7 minutes away.

The breakfasts prepared by Kim were excellent. The Inn is a unique octagonal property on the historic register. For seniors or anyone with physical limitations, the stairs to the second floor can be challenging. We recommend that the inn keepers upgrade the bed pillows - too sodt.

The new owners of the property are doing an excellent job of taking care of the property and taking care of their guests. We also enjoyed meeting the director of Security (Rex). The Breakfast was excellent both mornings during our stay. Excellent job! Hope to see you again next year when we travel north next summer. Thank you once again (10/10).

I only stayed 2 nights but wish it was longer. I was meeting family in the area for a winery tour and got to the inn around 9:30. Kim came out to greet me and I asked her if I could leave my car there as my daughter was picking me up. She was very accommodating and even gave me a tour and history of the inn while I was waiting. I also spoke to Gary, Kim's husband, and he was a wealth of information about the various wineries in the area and all the different types of wine produced in the region. They were both delightful to speak with. I came back later when my room was ready. There are, I believe, 4 rooms in the inn and they're located on the second floor. There is a common area on that floor in the octogon room. It's a wonderful room with natural lighting. They also have coffee ready early in the morning there and a breakfast downstairs served from 8AM to 9:30. I slept in the first morning and then left very early the next day, so I didn't have time to eat there unfortunately. There is a seating area out back with a fire pit that is available to use. Since there is a limited number of rooms, I would suggest booking as early as possible. Some people in the group I met with had tried to make a reservation there but they couldn't accommodate their schedule. If you rented all the rooms, you'd essentially have the place to yourself as Kim and Gary have a seperate dwelling out back. The rooms are very comfortable and have en suite bathrooms. I highly recommend this Inn.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Black Sheep Inn. The property is beautiful. It’s an an historic building that has been remodeled to keep the origini charm. The building is immaculately clean. Miranda and Simon, the hostess/hosts, are very gracious and personable. They offered many helpful suggestions for activities during our stay. The food was delicious! Miranda herself makes breakfast every day, and my husband who is a meat eater couldn’t believe how satisfying the meals were.
