Ceilidh Cottage

10/10 Excellent

"The cottage was absolutely lovely, quaint, charming and very cosy. Had everything you needed. Peaceful area. Parking outside. Comfortable beds. Perfect for pets. Loved it. Highly recommended."

The Bridge Hotel and Spa

8/10 Good

"We chose not to have breakfast but the choice seemed good and the dining area is in a lovely setting. My only gripes would be that there was no fridge or water in our room and I could not speak to a receptionist, having to leave a message instead the day before we arrived, which was not responded to. Overall cleanliness was good."

Aldwark Manor Estate

8/10 Good

"We stayed for two nights in room 101. All good at sign in then we went to the room and tried to sign in to the WiFi to work…nothing. I rang reception who explained how to sign in as no instructions on the tv or room. That detail was explained but still Wouldn’t sign in. So I took my iPhones to reception and it immediately signed in. We later found out that IT had been working on it all day so the hotel guests entirely were not able to access WiFi at all. I was furious that reception knew this but decided or was instructed not to be honest. Honesty from the start is so important. No work undertaken for day 1. Day 2 it was still the same but the reception staff provided an alternative to all me to work because I had business meetings. The bathroom sink has an awful smell coming up through it when some water is run. A little treatment would sort that out."

Historic Hall Wing nr York & Leeds + free Hot tub!

10/10 Excellent

"We had a lovely stay. A well appointed property with a lovely large secure garden and use of the tennis court. Peaceful and with great views from the garden and all rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen a great hub for meals and game playing with all our family (15 of us).The only minor inconvenience for us was there was no ground floor bedroom for our 94 year old nan (who struggles with stairs) but we managed. Personally I would turn the lounge into a ground floor bedroom and make the red bedroom opposite the kitchen into a lounge/snug, but that's just my opinion. We had a lovely time, the accommodations was dog friendly and an amazing location to visit nearby York etc. Would stay again, definitely "

Converted farmstead that sleeps 26; 6 showers, 2 baths;table tennis; sauna; gym.

8/10 Good

"This very clean accommodation had rooms and beds for our large group. Spread out so we were not crowded. Kitchen, game room, living room were great for our mix of ages. Lots of showers and baths. One shower is in a hallway so you should set up your privacy rules for that one before using it. And the nearby bed is on rollers (Good and bad it moves easily) The separate structures are on the edge of a small village with a close walk to store/post office and open during daylight hours. Lots of parking. Maybe 20 to 30 minute drive from York."

The Old Post Office

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely old property with lots of character. Comfortable beds and nicely furnished. As a group of friends we enjoyed our stay. 20 min taxi or bus ride into York. Very few negatives. Bit of road noise as it's a busy road, a few hair dryers would have been nice, description said it was near a shop, but not the case."

Stunning Hall Cottage, near York and Leeds

10/10 Excellent

"We were a group of three families (plus a dog) and the house and gardens were phenomenal. The kitchen and the secret garden were our main areas for convening. All facilities were great, and as an avid cook, the kitchen set up and equipment was top notch. "
