"3rd time staying here - love the house and position is great to explore the lizard. Damp was really bad this year - walls were wet and mouldy in places and kitchen cupboards very musty - cleaners were great coming out and cleaning up some of the mould. Probably damp build up if it had been shut up for a while. But we always enjoy our stay - beds comfy and loads of room for our family and little dog "

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed two nights . Car park just up the lane is ample and free to use. On arrival spoke to the polite and helpful barman who was busy but showed my room & helped me with a few queries Room was clean ,quiet and well equipped..also nice powerful shower . I was out all day fishing leaving very early which wasnt a problem. I ate at the pub both nights . Great food and well kept ales .enjoyed meeting Brian and a few locals at his busy and entertaining quiz night . Wednesday night was curry night again very good . Enjoyed my stay and I caught a Tuna !"

"We had a fabulous stay at this property. We spent most of our time in the glorious living area admiring the view of the ocean and loved the short walk down to the beach. The kitchen was really well equipped, but we did miss a microwave (only for catering for the children). It was lovely to have a the main area "TV free", meaning we were able to enjoy board games and reading without that distraction. We didn't use the garden area much as we were out most days but the washing facilities were great, as well as being able to hang out clothes to dry on the line. The house was really well furnished and the linen/towels were really nice quality. As a multi-generational group, the divide of bathrooms/bedrooms across the floors meant everyone got their own space. We had to keep an eye on the younger children when they got near to the top of the stairs but we found the house relatively child friendly (for 2/3/5 yr olds). A couple of the bedrooms didn't have much storage, so we kept clothes in suitcases/shared hanging space where we could. That being said, it didn't detract from our stay and we'd love to visit again."

"Lovely clean place, friendly staff and fantastic rooms. Our room was quite warm but was supplied with a fan. Situated ideally on Porthleven harbour. A bit disappointed having to wait for an hour for food but the staff did apologise and gave us our drinks FOC as a way of an apology. Unfortunately, I’d passed being hungry so didn’t finish my meal. That said it would not stop me coming back as overall we had a fantastic stay."
