"The Majestic Elegance is an incredible resort to stay at in Punta Cana, especially if you want an Adult Only experience. They do a great job of keeping the entire resort clean and organized. The majority of the staff will say hello to you whenever you pass each other. You don't ever have to leave the resort. They have everything you need there. I really enjoyed my time there.
The following might help you with your stay.
1) Airport Transfer: Absolutely choose this option. This area of the airport is extremely busy. Having a van waiting for you is a much better option. IF anyone offers you "free" excursions, they are salespeople trying to sell you something. Just keep moving along.
2) Resort Arrival: Once you get dropped off here, the staff will help you to your room. Since the resort is all inclusive, there are bars everywhere. Have a drink when you begin your vacation. Tips are very much appreciated by the staff.
3) Restaurants: There were all great but my favorites were 9 Doors(Hibatchi), El Asadito(Steakhouse), and Il Botaccio(Italian). Some require dinner reservations so do that as soon as you arrive. If you want a quiet meal, choose Il Botaccio. It's a wonderful place. The buffets are good when you just want something quick and easy. They have a large variety of meals, including a made-to-order pasta bar.
4) Beach: It's a short walk and very nice. Just an FYI, there are outsiders selling things there. Just say No Thank You and they will keep moving."
