Okay, depending on what you're needing or expecting in a hotel, will dictate if you will enjoy your stay here.
For $80/rm fairly last minute, i was quite pleased. The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean and orderly. It is evident this hotel is an old building and has at times been neglected. But i love that kind of lived-in charm. Our room smelled quite....dank. in more than one way unfortunately.
But i want to be clear, the hotel was clean. My room was so clean and tidy. The housekeeping staff deserve a raise. 5 stars to both cleanliness and staff.
If you're needing a bed to sleep in for a night, I'd recommend it. If you're expecting more, like...my children did, you will not be pleased. Their complaints on a hotel room they didnt pay for were:
No mini fridge
No microwave - we arrived at midnight and had *great* need for those, apparently
And our continental breakfast was honestly terrible. Hostess Danishes, Sunny D and uhh, fruit cups. I think. I was not going to try the coffee, but my partner didn't complain tho.
The children did not approve. Lectures on being polite and respectful were administered.
Also. I had to deduct a star from "Facilities" the hair blow dryer tried to eat my hair instead of, you know, blow drying it. Otherwise, it'd be a solid 3.
