Pros- the location is fantastic - directly across the central station for train and bus. Nordstan Mall is 100m away. Right in the heart of the city. Can't to much better than this. -The breakfast was simply outstanding - especially the overnight oatmeal topped with turkeyish yogurt, their berry compote and sunflower seeds.. YUM! - The beds were very comfortable, slept well. The room itself was in the older section on the hotel, pleasant enough but not very bright - somber atmosphere. Cons - Our bedroom was poorly lite. One of the ceiling bulb was out. No direct lighting at the desk to write in my journal. The air exchange vent in the shower stall made a constant noise like when the toilet tank is filling up with water. - First time ever staying at a hotel where the guests have to pay to use their swimming pool and sauna. I realize that it's like a spa, and one would expect to pay for services like a massage or any other form of treatment...but for the pool? -Lastly, the Expedia site on which I booked this hotel has two entries - one as laundry and dry cleaning services, the other as having a laundry facility which would indicate that washing and drying machines are available for guests, usually at a cost. This was one of the main reasons why I chooses this hotel, except it doesn't. We had already been traveling for a week, so it would have been nice to have our clothes washed when living out of our backpacks, without having to pay an arm and a leg for laundry services.

Very disappointed with my room. 1st impressions are vital. The communal area was ok, but as a solo traveller with a heavy bag I wasn’t directed to the main lift by reception, but down some stairs along a dark corridor and into a poky lift. I opened the door to my room to be greeted by a large stain on the carpet. There was no milk to make tea only creamer powder and I was told I could always go down three floors to use the communal milk each time I had a cup of tea. I even visited the website to check I was in the 4* hotel I had booked! Not a patch on the 4* hotel I had stayed in, in Stockholm. The room had everything it said, but the majority of the plugs didn’t work. The hair dryer was pathetic and I just gave up and left my hair to dry naturally. The room was stuffy and the window only opened a smidge. The bathroom was clean and adequate. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was ok. The location was good. I would not stay at this hotel again. As a solo traveller, I was allocated the pokiest room. My experience certainly wasn’t 4* or that of the glossy website photos.

Hotellet er veldig koselig. Det er teppe pÄ rommene og det rant litt dÄrlig i vasken pÄ badet. Det blir varmt om natten nÄr vinduet ikke kan Äpnes. Sengene til de voksne var fantastiske, mens kÞyesengene til barna var litt harde. LÀget Àr perfekt mitt i centrum, fri parkering pÄ Nordstan. Vi bodde i den Àldre delen av hotellet. Rummet var litet och vÀldigt mörkt. Det finns taklampor som man tÀnder med knapp jÀmte dörren. Antingen Àr det tÀnt eller sÄ Àr det mörkt. Man kan inte tÀnda och slÀcka taket frÄn sÀngen. De smÄ sÀnglamporna lyser vÀldigt svagt och ger inget ljus annat sÄ man kan skönja sÀngen. Badrummet litet och den minimala duschdelen skyddar inte mycket. Dessutom Àr den vÀldigt snuskig med svart mögel lÀngs listen. Fuktskador i taket. SÀngen Àr riktigt bra, men vi sÄg nÀr vi skulle hem att madrasskyddet har stora Àckliga flÀckar. Varför byter man inte det, nÀr man bÀddar rent? Frukosten Àr som en vanlig hotellfrukost innehÄllsmÀssigt, men logistiken fungerar inte. Det Àr en lÄng disk, dÀr man ska hÀmta allt utom bröd och frukt. Alla fÄr stÄ i samma kö och den blir lÄng. Man skulle vÀl kunna placera kaffe och juice pÄ ett separat bord, istÀllet för samma lÄnga disk som allt det andra. Matsalen Àr ganska liten, sÄ mÄnga fÄr sprida ut sig till hotellobbyn och baren för att hitta sittplats.
