There are three reasons to stay at the Snug Townhouse--location, location, location. And if you get a room in the back it is incredibly quiet. But not in the front, as other reviewers will attest to. If you are traveling by yourself, it might be okay. But for two, it is nearly unworkable. The queen size bed is shoved into a corner with no way out except for the inside person climbing over the outside person. Suitcases must be kept under the bed. There are several small shelves on which to put things, but one shelf has plugs and is taken up by the hot water pot. We never could find a plug in the bathroom (which is huge relative to the room). There is one small hook in the bathroom, not big enough for your wet towels. The plugs in the headboard stick out enough that one could hit one's head on them. There are no tissues provided or even spoons if you want to make a cup of tea. No glasses, just two mugs.
The only reason to stay here is the neighborhood is fantastic--restaurants, bars, nightlife everywhere and you can walk to everywhere in Galway. At $150 per night, I wouldn't even be writing this review. But at $250? Ridiculously expensive for the amenities provided.
