University Plaza Waterfront Hotel

"The room was spotlessly clean, however the room and especially the hallways smelled from disinfectant such as bleach. Our room was missing wall lamps so we only had temporary desk lamps. This was a bad choice on their part as the hotel was empty and they could have put us in a room that had full functioning lighting. When walking into the room at night we had just an entry lamp no room lighting at all. We even had to have maintenance come and change a bulb. We had asked via Expedia to have a view overlooking the pool - waterfront and once again stared at the stadium.The place is a bit stark in decor, not inviting at all, however useful. Personally I would prefer better coffee in room such as Nespresso rather than the dirt water that is there, and that goes double for the restaurant coffee. Lastly in the past the self serve lobby coffee was toward the front of the lobby and now has been moved to the opposite side of the hotel. Even though it is horrible, it's the only solution to some caffeine until you leave the property. I think after 2 stays in 2 different years, I would look for another upgraded property in the area."

"The staff was super nice, the breakfast was just OK. Parking was good and felt safe. There were a few hairs on my sink and the freezer part of the refrigerator smelled a little bad. But everything else was great. And it was a great price for the stay. I definitely choose them again."
