Had we asked for leftovers (dinner smelled heavenly) am certain they would have helped us out. That is how lovely these people, and their lodging, are. We had food in the car, and ate in the comfort of a large, beautiful room over-looking what we discovered was a peaceful, serene

"Just steps from the train station! Desk clerk was nervous about her English; we pointed out that our German is zero. Looking over her shoulder, I noticed a glass doored refrigerator, with beer. We'd just got off a long train trip (four trains, and a couple alternate itineraries due to impossible connection times). She sold us a large bottle of dunkel and opened it for us at the desk. Our moods immediately improved!
