Fantastic Hotel

Staff were super helpful and accommodating. Room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good with lots of hot and cold options, including chia seeds, nuts and other toppings for yogurt. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great Place To Stay in the Black Forest!

An excellent place to stay in Forbach and the Schwarzwald! My family had such an awesome stay - the owners are awesome people and made our stay very memorable. They were very helpful with suggestions in the area and for helping with making dinner reservations. The breakfast is one of the best. We will definitely be back!

Best hotel experience I ever had. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. The terrace by the river is incredible, a moment of peace and quiet under the stars in the night. Breakfast was really good as well.

Solo Trip to the Black Forest

Everything about the stay was great: Personal, friendly service from the owner, a comfortable and quiet room, and an extensive breakfast buffet. There are also a couple of outdoor seating areas facing the river and plenty of beer and wine available for purchase from the mini-bar. Glad I found this hidden gem.

Excellent gasthaus with idyllic location

Excellent gasthaus and its staff too! The location is idyllic as is the hotel itself. Good breakfast and clean rooms. Limited parking space but manageable, friendly and helpful gasthaus staff helped us out with finding a parking space. We had only one night stay here, but we should have spent more time here as the place was so nice overall. Definitely will come again.

Gorgeous, picturesque, lovely owners

Run by a lovely young family, this place is a veritable retreat. We got a balcony room over the river and it was worth it. You can see the covered bridge, stars, and the church overlooking the property. The beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast is nice. The entire place is very cute, you can also book sauna for a reasonable fee as long as you tell them in advance. Out of all the places I've been this month, they have the best coffee. They have a children's area in the breakfast/dining room, this was very helpful for our kid.

Host was very helpful with where to go for sightseeing however there is no Ice machine and no ice bucket to chill a bottle of wine. Was giving Ice in a bowl. There is a onsite bar but it is not staffed. I was told not park in a space because the midsize SUV was too big, yet they let another guess with a bigger vehicle park in the same space.

Nous avons été très bien reçu lors de notre séjour d'une nuit dans l'hôtel. On nous a donné une chambre de catégorie supérieure à celle que nous avions réservée. La venue avec notre chien n'a posé aucun problème. Le petit-déjeuner est bien servi et très diversifié. Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins pour nous faire plaisir. L'environnement extérieur est très plaisant avec des chaises longues et un hamac sur la terrasse au bord de la rivière.
