"The pluses: excellent location. In a pedestrian street which means no traffic noise and a 5-minute walk from the train station. A few mins walk from everything downtown - cannot beat that! Very friendly staff, good spread for breakfast (the two guys working there were extremely polite and helpful) and a very lovely and nicely decorated lobby/eating area. Rooms are fine and clean. The minuses: no AC in the rooms that can become of an issue on hot days because, you have to leave the windows open at night and unfortunately, if you are facing the inner court yard, people gather early in the morning for a coffee and a smoke and talk loudly waking you up at wee hours of the day. Another minus is the room price. I know that hotel prices are high in Zurich, but for a 3 star hotel, I paid what I paid for a way more exclusive room in Manhattan and I did that all the 15 times I flew there the last 3 years. Anyway, the latter is unavoidable, I guess, unless you wait for specials. Overall, a 4/5 experience and I will definitely go back next time I'm in town."

"This is an excellent location in Zurich. This is old town, great restaurants and shopping. Sit along the water and enjoy watching the swans and a cocktail. Staff are great..breakfast is amazing...everything you would want. The only down..was no AC but they provided fans and opening the windows and it was fine. Slept very well. I would definitely stay here again."

"The hotels location was in Old Town putting in near so many restaurants and charming streets. The breakfast was quite good and the indoor and outdoor dining areas were very nice. There’s a beautiful bar on premises however be aware it’s a cigar bar. We aren’t smokers so it got to be too smoky and we left after 1 drink. It’s an older hotel so the elevators are only big enough for 2 people at once. We traveled with another couple and their room had washcloths in it and ours didn’t. We asked for them and got them, the following morning the housekeeper took them away and didn’t replace them."

"Very good location to be able to explore Zurich. My only comment is to be aware that the bathroom in the room (at least that we stayed in) may not be what western cultures are used to. Sliding glass doors allow ALL sounds to echo into the room! Lol! If you are not modest, it may not be a big deal for you."
