Really enjoyed my stay at Balcony. Just about everything is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the hotel and there are plenty of dining and shopping options. The owners are very helpful and welcoming!

Great central location!

Great stay in central location. Room was clean and layout was nice. Very friendly staff. Only issue was the shower drained slowly but it didn’t bother us. We would stay again. AC was great!

Good hotel with GREAT location. We were able to walk to all the locations that we wanted to see. MANY restaurants within 2-3 blocks from the hotel. Front desk staff, I think it was the owner, was very friendly and accommodating despite some language barriers. Provided me with ice daily! Bed was comfortable and shower was ok. Plenty of space in the room. We chose the breakfast for 10Euros daily. It did not have any warm/hot options and limited protein but was enough to start the day. Owner helped us arrange transportation to our next destination at checkout. Would stay here again!

Simple but Nice Hotel. Aircondition worked perfectly, refrigerator did not get very cold, TV lacked international channels (but then again one does not go on vacation to watch tv :)). Breakfast was very simple, as seems common in Italy. But all in all a Nice simple hotell with very Kind host.

Lovely hotel and owners. Excellent location.

Lovely hotel. Its location is excellent, a 10-minute walk from the SMN train station. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a large bathroom. Danielle and her family are very kind and caring. They go out of their way to provide excellent service and make the best recommendations on tourist attractions and places to eat. They also looked after our bags before and after check-in. They speak Italian and English quite well. 100% recommended.

We had a one night stay here a few days ago, and were overall happy with our experience. Friendly staff greeted on arrival, and accommodating to our requests. The room was slightly smaller than envisioned, but for us it wasn’t an issue as were only there as mentioned for 1 night. Clean and comfortable. To note, if you are relying on the hotels hairdryer, it is slightly underwhelming, and a little confusing to operate, but it’s manageable. Overall, great experience & lovely staff. Also, perfect location for exploring all central Florence has to offer.

The room and location were great. Some staff do not speak English, especially the evening shift, and the elder gentleman working at the reception in the evening was making inappropriate remarks to my friend who I was talking with in the lobby.

Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. It was convenient for walking to all the main attractions nearby. The water pressure in the shower was rough and the bathroom/shower were incredibly small. I smacked my elbows many times in the bathroom.

Can't ask for a better location! You can see the Duomo from the entrance, and is also very close to the main train station. Very lively area, no breakfast on site (I think), but there are so many eating options right nearby.

The owner/manager/staff were great. The facilities lacked. The beds were rock hard. The water pressure other than full cold was almost nil. What was supposed to be hot, wasn't but intermittently warm, cold, warm, etc. The walls paper thin, hearing snoring and bathroom use sounds of others was nauseating.
