Welcome to this cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom A-frame cabin, the perfect retreat for those seeking a tranquil escape in nature! While Flagstaff does have public transit and ride-share options, many of the area’s highlights—such as the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Snowbowl, Walnut Canyon, and countless hiking trails—are easiest to reach when you have your own vehicle. A car allows you to enjoy the flexibility of mountain drives, day trips, and exploring at your own pace. Streets are easy to navigate, and most destinations offer convenient parking. We do recommend a car with 4WD/AWD during extreme winter conditions.
Other Things to Note:
✅ This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $50 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

Pet Policy: We welcome well-behaved pets! A $75 per pet, per stay fee applies. Please clean up after your pet and keep them off furniture.

The following events qualify for cancellation or rescheduling outside of our standard cancellation policy:
1. Government-Mandated Travel Restrictions
✅ If a government agency issues a mandatory road closure or evacuation order that prevents access to the property.
✅ This must be an official order, not just a recommendation or travel advisory.
2. Large-Scale Utility Outages
✅ If a prolonged power, water, or heating outage occurs due to winter storms, impacting the majority of homes in the area.
✅ Minor disruptions or short-term outages that are common during storms do not qualify.
If one of these covered events occurs, guests may be eligible for a refund, rescheduling, or a credit for a future stay, at our discretion.

The following situations are not covered by this policy, meaning refunds or rescheduling will not be granted unless they fall under our normal cancellation policy:

❌ Our team will ensure the driveway and main pathways are cleared before check-in. However, additional snowfall during your stay is not a covered event.
