"We made Ashok's condo our home base for a ten-day visit to the Big Island. The location was perfect - just 20 minutes from downtown Kona, close to farms, national parks, and historical sites. The condo was well-supplied with kitchen condiments and beach items, including towels, snorkels, and beach chairs. Ashok was excellent with communication and provided us with lots of information on what to expect. "

"Such a special place on the Big Island! Maka Nui feels like a resort from the moment you drive through the gate. Beautiful lush, tropical gardens and expansive ocean views. You cannot beat the sunsets. The house is just gorgeous - immaculately clean with comfy beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Candi is a gracious host and quick to answer questions. "Check in was the worst! Arrived in the evening and although the front desk clerk tried to give directions to the building/room it was impossible to find. Very POOR lighting so bad I fell on the walkway! The room was clean and spacious Cute sign instructing to remove shoes but the carpet had nails that we all stepped on and cut our feet Swimming pool was closed for maintenance and the next one next to us was empty A nice complimentary Hula Show was an added plus"

"Our family of seven had a comfortable stay. The four bedrooms were a great fit and gave everyone their own space and bathrooms. The sunset views from the pool area were beautiful and definitely a highlight.We visit Hawaii every year and aren’t overly picky, but there were a few areas that could be improved. Keyless entry would be much more convenient than keeping track of physical keys for both the main house and the exterior-access bedrooms. More beach chairs would also have been helpful for a larger group wanting to spend the day at the beach together.  The hot water never quite got hot enough, even after we requested that the temperature be adjusted. With the fully open shower in the master bathroom, hotter water would have made a big difference. The BBQ grill was also very dirty and clogged, which caused uneven heating. The hosts did offer to come address it, but we chose not to interrupt our stay and hope it’s resolved for future guests.Overall, the home is spacious and works well for a large family, but it could benefit from some general TLC."
