"Everything we needed for a great vacation. A great view, clean home and access to games and water sports (kayaks, paddle boards). Plenty of firewood provided with your own solo stove and grill. Property was great but good to note that you are very close to other guests. Clean, quiet lake great to listen to the loons. Sandy beach and docks were great too."

"Very pleased with our stay. We enjoyed the quiet location and nice area near the dock and lake for swimming and relaxation. This retired couple would definitely stay again in the future. (There was a minor glitch with the combination for check in - but a quick phone call to the host resolved it)."

"Everything about our stay was top notch! The host ensured we had everything we needed to start our vacation and was readily available to answer our questions. Check in and out were smooth, the property and location were incredible, and the sunrises were amazing! The cabins contained everything we needed for our stay. We will be booking again next summer!"

"Shady Nook was the perfect home and location for our bi-annual family reunion. Our group of 26 included ages 10 months to 83. We were all very comfortable and even had empty beds! Shady Nook feels more like borrowing a friends house than a rental. The kitchen was very well stocked and even included many of the spices that we needed. The back porch is amazing and became our favorite hang out spot.We used the loft over the garage for two families with small children for the quiet. The loft does have a kitchenette, toilet and sink and there is a full bathroom in the garage convenient for showering. There are three bedrooms on the main floor which was great for our less mobile family members.We had not visited Pickerel Lake before and were shocked by how clear and clean it was. We rented a pontoon and took many trips around the lake. There was also a fishing group that had very good luck every time they went. Having access to tons of inflatables and yard games kept us all busy. We spent hours floating on the maui mat. Perfect place for large groups!"
