When we arrived and were shown to our room it was very disappointing.
It was nothing like the photos on the website, very tired, stained furniture.
We paid extra for a sea view but the window was chest height so although there was a view you had to be standing up to appreciate it.
The windows barely opened as there was a bunk bed built in to the corner of the room level with the window sill so would be a safety issue but still it was boiling in there.
Very old furniture, very old small tv.
We had booked for 8 nights and my heart sank.
I went straight to reception and they were fantastic. Gave us a voucher for some drinks in the bar and promised to move us the following day, which they did.
Breakfast was an experience.
You wait to be seated then there’s the longest wait for coffee, tea and whatever you’ve ordered, after waiting for someone to take your order in the first place.
On the first morning, the continental breakfast consisted. of 2 croissants and some pieces of cheese and some ham.
The juice had run out altogether!
Very unsatisfactory in this day and age and especially for £200 per night!
The carpets in the corridors are worn.
The pool area is not particularly inviting, quite dark and not smart at all.
The saving grace to this hotel is the fantastic lady on reception.
She greeted us every day with a smile and a chat. Offered information in the local area, she herself is Ukrainian.
We deliberately missed breakfast on 3 occasions and had breakfast elsewhere.
