The property is right off the Interstate. Very convenient for travelers. Attendant was very nice and helpful. Property is in the midst of remodeling. I believe it will be very nice when it’s complete.
Property was under renovation - but new management went out of their way to accommodate a traditional experience. The room itself was incredibly large, clean, and functional for the price. The new luxurious mattress was just what we needed after a long day of driving the Interstate. Highly recommended.
Everything was great until about 530 in the morning. A group of truck drivers were having a meeting outside our door. I guess the room next door was a independent company working out of the hotel room. Very loud.
This is the poorest quality hotel I have ever stayed in. I chose it because of location and price. I would pay $30 more to stay across I-40 or drive another 15 miles to Sayre, OM and pay another $20-40 dollars. The room appeared clean but there were a lot of flies in the room, the room was hot when we arrived,, the shower was difficult to turn on and off, the check in was in a reception area that was very hot with no ventilation.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Family, couple or solo travelers. The attendant at the front desk was very nice but had a child sitting at her feet playing a tablet loudly. The front reception area looked completely out of shape and there was a bad of flea and tick killer sitting on the counter where coffee and other items were. Our room was very out-dated. Hard to find any plug ins around the room. The room smelled like it had been smoked it for the entirety of its existence. Seemed clean enough other than the cigarette smell. It is apparently under new management so maybe in the future it will be better.
Looked at what I thought were recent reviews and went clean, comfortable, affordable for one night perfect. Pulled into the parking lot and wasn’t what the pictures showed. Noticed swallow nests all over the eves and dirty walls. Went into the tiny check-in area, it was very hot, humid and dark. The man checking us in said they didn’t have any single king size rooms (what I booked and paid for in advance) and only had two queens. Just need a bed, since we’ve been on the road for 9 hours. Drive around to our non-smoking room and open the door. A strong smell of cigarettes wafts from the room. Look around the room and it doesn’t look clean. Walk into the room and notice cigarette ashes on the table between the beds. The pillows and bedding look as if it was just pulled up and not neatly made, flies everywhere. Went into the bathroom and the toilet was dirty (rings, like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while), no water in there either. In the bathtub there was a used washcloth hanging. The bottom of the tub was disgusting. The floor was sticky and had something on it. Looked at the sink, it was also dirty. Had another used washcloth hanging from the bar, no clean towels or new soaps anywhere to be found. Fridge was also dirty and opened the microwave and roaches were running in it. I told my husband that nope, not staying here. I’ll eat the cost of the room. We booked another room at a nearby hotel and stayed there. Not worth even considering. Do not recommend this hotel at all.
There was feces in the toilet and roaches under the mattress and the sheets had hair and body fluids on them. The manager refused to compensate me because I complained too late and didn’t offer to give me a different room.
The property is filthy, it has huge spiders, mice and mice droppings left in the room, they dont clean the rooms there is dead bugs on the floor, roaches on walls and furniture, bedbugs the bathrooms are disgusting and the manager did come kill a spider but said we were good and left no refund or anything beyond disgusting
Checking into my room, the floor was littered with debris on the carpet. A used bath towel was also noted under the sink. No wash clothes or bath towels were present in the room, so i had asked one of the employees if i could receive such. The florescent lights above the sink were inoperable, and it appeared that the ballast needed changed. I had an issue come up at home to depart two days earlier than anticipated. I inquired with the manager about possibly receiving a refund and he advised that since i made the reservation online, he could not do so. Overall the experience was less than expected given the above reasons. For $40 a night, it could be worth such if just a little effort was put into cleanliness and some general maintenance repairs. Ive been visiting this town for 12 years and will go back to the other hotel option 200 yards away.
I needed a place to lay my head for one night. Didn't see any bugs. Staff was friendly.
It must be at least a month since the carpet has been vacuumed, the shower still had the soap from a previous guest, the 3 legged microwave was filthy, and the outside has so many weeds at first I thought it might be abandoned. I could go on, but no need.
It cost 44 bucks for 2 queens. Everything else was bad. Cars with wheels missing in the parking lot. Roaches. Mattress that almost collapses when you sit on it. Long dark black hairs all over the tub. Really dirty toilet. And much more. No office chair for the desk. Just bad. Should be condemned. But it won't be, because I am sure people live in the 2nd story long term. I won't day why or how I know.
Check in was relatively easy. Had to call to get someone to come to the desk. The bed had one pillow and there was only one towel. I had to go ask for more since there wasn’t a phone in the room. Desk clerk said there were plenty of pillows but could only give me one more towel since they didn’t have anymore. Bugs crawling on the wall and floors were dirty. It was really noisy so sleeping wasn’t easy. I will not be returning.
The rooms were musty and wet. Air quality was horrible. There was trash left in the room and the smoke detector was removed with wires hanging from the cieling. No one was available for check out at 9 AM and the "continental free breakfast" was nowhere to be seen.
My wife had to kill the roach in the tub soon as we got there and downhill from there. Got there around 9pm and had to call the employee's cellphone to have him come to check us in. This used to be where we shot for when traveling as it was the right distance from home. No more.
