The property is so quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed himing on the nearby trails. The cabin was great and had everything we needed. The manager wS communicative and understanding.
Very quiet and peaceful environment in the middle of the mountains, owner has 2 best dogs that are well trained, people super friendly, super helpful and super intelligent, and me and my wife could never forget those 2 human friends . We recommend this place to everyone .
The cabin had a nice view and was very cozy w the wood stove. I was expecting a bit more based on the price (essentially 400/night w all taxes and fees). The kitchen and bathroom situation need some work. The grounds were ok- a lot of delapidated buildings and such. There were a bunch of chickens/roosters in make shift cages in an old barn which was a little disturbing. They were relatively attentive and have a great dog that will hang out w you.
Staying in your own cabin on this beautiful mountain is a priceless experience. My dog and I loved the nearby hiking paths, gorgeous views, and friendly ducks and horses. Thank you!
Our holiday weekend at the ranch was wonderful!! Upon arrival, Evan was very helpful and informative and made us feel right at home! My husband broke his eye glasses and Evan immediately came with glue and duct tape to save the day! The horseback riding experience was phenomenal! Liebert took us on a mountain trail that brought us out onto a beautiful vista of the Blue Ridge Mountains! My only feedback would be that before coming I thought the cabin on the front of the VRBO was the one we were staying in and that the horses would be closer to our cabin. It's a 15 minute drive to the other side of the property to the horse barn but what an extraordinary mountaintop ranch!! It is breath taking!!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend of great memories!!!
Cabin was cute and rustic. The hostess Jess was super nice and the working horse farm was beautiful. FYI- there were a few issues. Cabin was not very clean and had a few safety issues (splinters and rusty nails). Also was not told there was a neighbor downstairs which felt a little weird to discover that a man was staying in the basement apartment. 3 stars overall.

Rustic Beauty
The scenery is breathtaking! Unfortunately, I got sick & didn't get to enjoy much outdoors, so I'm limited on what I can review.
Ms Lydia, my host, was very helpful & she explained internet, directions & road conditions.
Internet & landline phone is located at the main house, a short walk from the cabin. I was able to use my tablet on the porch though.
The cabin wasn't hard to find, just out in the country. The road leading up to the cabin is dirt & gravel & it's steep in places. I have a sports car & had no problems, just had to pay attention.
The cabin itself is very rustic!! It fits the bill for outdoor enthusiasts!! Do not expect luxury or you'll be disappointed! There's a small, full kitchen, with necessities, full bath, 2 small bedrooms & a small living room. It's cute but rustic!! Expect some creepy crawlers because you're in the woods!! The porch is the highlight of the cabin. I couldn't get enough of just sitting in the swing looking out over the mountains, just beautiful, the mountain breeze gently blowing & the smell of spring. I'm getting lost again...ahhh!!
I think that's all I can say about the place!! Beautiful but remember, no luxurious accommodation here!!
My friends and I booked this for a weekend trip. The property is fantastic! The road up the hill is steep, so having a car with some clearance is recommended, although I did make it up the mountain in a Camry. The host was terrific and very great at communicating. The town nearby (Elkton) has a great brewery that is def recommended.
We had a such a great time - what a beautiful ranch - our cabin was just perfect, rustic but comfortable! We enjoyed all the hiking opportunities and the horses!!!
Rustic cabin with excellent porches for morning, afternoon, and evening views of nature and mountains.

Rustic mountain stay
As expected the cabin is very much
‘In the mountains’ - perfect for getting away from it all. The cabin has all the essentials and is very rustic. The fire pit out among the trees and wildlife was perfect for an evening cooking outside.
