Overall, a beautiful home with spectacular views of the lake. Very quiet area and walkable to downtown for shops & dining.
The location was perfect for us for visiting family. Ellie even had a tree put up for us for Christmas. She was a wonderful host & we had a lovely time there!
We had a great long weekend at this wonderfully redone home. Nice and quiet neighborhood and very close to restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed the kayaks and even caught a few fish. Ellie was easy to communicate with and very quick to reply to a question that I had. Would recommend for sure!
We are in our 70's and stayed the month of Aug 2024. Ellie was very responsive to our needs, even adding a window air conditioner to the downstairs bedroom because the weather on our arrival was very hot. We had our 3 grandkids visit (from Chicago) while we were there and they really enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. There are 6 Adirondack chairs outside around a fire pit. There's also a table with an umbrella and four 'bar height' chairs for outside seating. The interior was comfy and convenient. The kitchen table seats 8 and I had some family members over to play cards. The staircase going upstairs was narrow and a little difficult for us 'older' folks but I got used to it after a few days. There is a small step between the dining room and living room which you have to be careful of, until you get used to it being there. The kitchen is well stocked with most everything you need. Just add your food! Many appliances and other items seemed brand new. The washer and dryer were great. The location was very convenient. I walked (about a mile) to downtown a few times to go to the Thurs Farmer's Market. I also walked a few of the nearby nature paths. There is a really nice park and beach area on the lake with picnic tables, play equipment, splash pad, etc. My husband and I loved watching the beautiful sunsets over the lake and the duck families. The owner has included lots of things to make her guests comfortable. All in all, it was a great stay. I highly recommend it!
We had a great stay. House was clean, cozy and warm. Any initial concerns we had were addressed quickly by the property manager, which were minor. The steps are steep for anyone who has issues with stairs, but we were fine. Downtown was cute. I would recommend checking out Tipsy’s on Main for dinner and drinks…. Farm to table and everything was great. Old Main Eatery was awesome for breakfast and early lunch. Family owned and delicious.Property was very quiet at night and had a great view from the kitchen window. We were there in late November so we couldn’t enjoy the outside amenities but the fire pit and dock looked beautiful. Linens were nice and plenty of dishes, pots and pans…. Just bring the food!Would Absolutly stay again if in the area!
