Great staff, clean room and fantastic bar. Parking is a bit tricky but that’s the case anywhere in the area. Highly recommend a stay here to anyone looking for a relaxing comfortable getaway.

Beautiful room with luxury toiletries. Very comfortable bed and large shower. Fabulous bar attached to the hotel and nice to get a welcome drink of choice. Loved being so central to Morningside and not far to walk to see my daughter in Shandon

Nice boutique hotel with lots of good bars and restaurants nearby. There's no office in the hotel. Rather, you go to the adjacent pub to check in. The pub is a classic and your first drink is on the hotel!

This was truly the best hotel that we stayed at in Edinburgh. It featured, sparkling, clean accommodations, spacious bathrooms, central air, amazing staff, and an adjoining pub with fantastic food and a welcoming environment.

We stayed here for a long weekend and stayed in room 7 (the snug) - it was a lovely hotel with nice amenities and decor etc. There were toiletries in the bathroom which is always handy and the room was cleaned each day. The staff were really helpful and we could leave our backpacks downstairs in the pub before check in and after check out. The pub downstairs was also lovely with great service and food. The area that the hotel is in is nice with good restaurants, takeaways and shops - everything we needed was on the door step. Very easy to get buses into the city too. Would highly recommend!

Lovely homely hotel in a beautiful period property, very comfortable! Close to plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants, and not forgetting The Canny Man's next door, which is a cracky pub with lots of character. There are loads of buses in and out of the centre, or to Leith if you wish to explore there too, so this is a great neighbourhood to stay in the city. We highly recommend this place, and we're hoping to return again in the not-so-distant future.

Really recommend staying at the Lane Hotel - it was fabulous and relaxing. Great location in proximity to city centre. Would definitely recommend getting the breakfast from the Canny Man's.

We stayed here for our last night before flying back to Canada. It is a cute boutique hotel, but is seeing some wear and tear. The attached pub is fantastic and has a great authentic neighborhood feel. The staff are excellent.

Great time at the Canny Man’s

Excellent rooms with a great pub and restaurant downstairs. This is the second time I have stayed here and my third visit will be next week. So handy for local shopping in Morningside and Bruntsfield and on good bus routes for the rest of Edinburgh

Brilliant establishment and the staff make this place extra special! Can highly recommend staying here and enjoying the pub and food in the restaurant. A special thank you to Charlene who looks after the rooms and Nikki one of the chefs. Here for 3 nights and would stay longer but fully booked!
