Close to the city centre and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The shower didn't drain but the staff moved us very quickly and we appreciated it.
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was much better than many 4- and 5-star hotels we have stayed in. The place was modern, clean, and fresh.
The room was a good size, and everything was clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent, with easy access to many different parts of the city.
The kitchen was large, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The only thing missing was a toaster.
We had a wonderful stay at destiny student burnet point! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel at ease. The room was completely spotless and the kitchen had great facilities and was very well maintained. It felt very safe as two young female travellers and was a great location for exploring the city especially having great access to Arthur’s seat. Would very much recommend this property and we will be back!!
We were the first costumers after opening. Normally this is a longterm rental student home, but it was excellent for one night to visit the town. Very nice staff at the reception.
really convenient accom, check in was really easy and you get towels which was nice! the room was super clean and the staff were always helpful. there is a bus stop at the top of the street and down the road is a lidl, sainsbury’s etc which was convenient for making a holiday cheaper. the view from our room was lovely, arthur’s seat could be seen from the window - there are train tracks nearby but they aren’t a bother. would defo stay again!! :)
This property is wonderful. Clean, friendly staff, the broom has 95% of what you need for a base to do the fringe, then public transport location of Abbeyhill is serviced WELL into the night as well (I got home at 02:30 one night) and still had a lovely chat with the 24 hour front door staff.
I will be booking this again for sure next year.
It was mostly clean, bed was clean, facilities were. I could see spills on wall, but otherwise quite clean. Bathroom very clean and shared kitchen kept well. Was in area a little ways from city centre but not too much of a walk from the end of the Royal Mile. A safe area, coffee shops and groceries nearby.
Clean room and very friendly staff. However our food in the fridge was thrown away by the cleaning staff even though it was properly labeled per instructions in the shared kitchen.
Common area wasn’t great. Rooms good and kitchen area nice. Staff were terrific.
Good accommodation for travellers, but a lot of institutional like doors to get through.
But it is a student accommodation.
Good stay and affordable price. Quick bus ride or easy walk into the center of town.
Request a room away from one of the access points as it could be noisy at night as people were locking or unlocking the access door.
Bathroom could have been slightly better maintained. Hotel unfortunately uses single use plastics for their toiletries.
Don’t count on bag storage. And I think this is run by volunteer students. It’s a bit chaotic and disorganized. In all fairness, it is new. I needed bag storage as offered, but they didn’t, so I carried my 20kg bag only to get the same room the next day on a 3 day stay.
I booked 3 nights here with anticipation of luggage storage. Luggage storage was restricted and not as advertised. The staff was not accommodating. I had to check out, carry 20kg of luggage to a bag check across town because there was nothing suitable locally. I believe the place to be run by students that can’t make decisions and don’t understand hospitality. It was a relatively small ask, but a massive inconvenience to me. I found out day 2, so lost an afternoon looking around for some assistance. It was stressful. This site finally got me a supervisor who offered a solution, but I spent 2-3 hours online and walking to find something local to help, plus nearly 2 hours with customer service. I was physically sick with how stressful it was.
