"Our room was gross. There were hand prints on the door. Dirty towels folded like they were clean. Marks all over the walls. Peeling wallpaper. The AC was out in the lobby/breakfast area. The fitness room was dated, dirty, no towels and broken equipment. We were only given 2 towels for 3 people the entire stay. When I asked for additional towels, I was given an attitude. When I explained the room situation I did not get an apology. Nice location."

"The hotel was fine if you just need a place to sleep for a night. We were thankful that they took dogs and there was only a $10 per night fee. The hotel room was completely hard floors, which is fine but they were so sticky that our shoes just stuck to the floor. I don't know if it's from the cleaners they use, but it was just really gross to walk across and have your feet stick to the floor. Don't expect the staff to help you in anyway. There's only one person on staff when I asked if they had a hairdryer they said I had to come down to the front desk to get it and return it immediately after. When we asked for fresh towels the next day. (because I used most of ours to try and wipe the floors up so they weren't sticky.) they were so stingy about giving us clean ones. We had to bring all of our dirties down and exchange them out for the exact same number of towels that were in the room to start with. I wanted to get more pillows, but I knew that would be impossible after the towel fiasco. And they just weren't friendly at all. I guess you get what you pay for which we got a very good rate for our room and the hotel itself look nice and clean, but our room was definitely not. It's just not a very comfortable place but it is fine if you just need a quick overnight sleep."

"Property was gorgeous and the staff were all very friendly. Bathroom was very luxurious and well room well appointed. Overall great stay, with one hiccup. Apparently when we checked in someone was supposed to ask if we wanted a down or down-free room. Unfortunately, they dis not. When we finally were exhausted, in our PJs and ready for sleep, I layed down to an extremely comfortable bed. It was fantastic, until my allergies kicked in soon after. I asked if the pillows were feather and they said yes and would send someone up with the down alternative pillows. Great! A very nice gentleman brought the pillows up, but then asked if anyone asked if I needed the down free room. I said down free ROOM? He said yes, they should ask because the entire bed is down, not just the pillows. So, he had to strip the bed totally down after 11pm at night, remove the mattress topper and the entire duvet and bring up new non-down alternatives. He was wonderful, but I wish they had asked at checkin to prevent this (and my allergies) and also wonder why when I called for non-down pillows because I was allergic, that person didn't tell me about the down duvet and mattress topper. My recommendation would be if you have frather/down allergies, request the down free room. I wish I had know to do that. Other than that, great stay. The shuttle was fantastic to Careytown abd we enjoyed the little "museum" on site and the gift shop.(bought the bath sheets, which I recommended!"
