Hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful upon checking. Large area to park conveniently located. Liked that it was close to the airport yet out of the city.
Absolutely perfect. The hotel and grounds were beautiful, the lounge/bar and restaurant were great. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the bed was heavenly.
Also, a huge thank you to the hotel for making sure my special request of extra pillows was waiting in our room upon our arrival. Plus, also having a small box of delicious chocolates in our room with a handwritten ‘Happy Birthday’ note attached to help us celebrate my husband’s birthday.

The spa was lovely, the service through out was a bit hit and miss but when it was good, it was great. My biggest challenge was the lack of sound proofing with the bedrooms - two of the four nights I stayed I was kept up by conversations had in the surrounding rooms.
There is absolutely nothing to complain about Dunboyne Hotel and Spa. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate. Food was done to perfection.
The Spa was everything you could want, all my aches and pains disappeared from long hours of driving.
Putting the Cherry on the top they even left me a birthday card in my room handwritten .
Great place to stay, great spa and really helpful staff that knows the history of the site which is an added bonus

Booked for a quick trip over to Ireland to visit a relative who lives nearby so the hotel was well located for what we were looking for. The hotel is set in landscaped grounds and is impressive when you drive in. Reception is nice and the staff most helpful. The rooms are large (executive twin) with a large single beds and sizeable bathroom with separate bath and walk in shower. Robes and slippers are a nice touch. The fixtures are a little dated but worked fine, furniture is quite badly scuffed in places but the price of the room was reasonable. Main disappointment were the false eyelashes on the carpet that stuck to our shoes, the cleaners may have struggled to spot them or the hoover struggled with the glue hence the lower score for cleanliness.
Overall we would stay again for the price, location and friendly staff.
The thermal spa pass was well worth it and I felt the spa area was well maintained. The room was spacious but a little run down. I appreciated the 2 still waters available in the room, the cozy robe, and the really nice toiletries. There were a ton of options at breakfast and it exceed me expectations as far as quantity. The staff was really professional, attentive, and kind. Overall a great last night in the area before flying out.
Staff all friendly and helpful but, minor things here and there that are quite annoying given the price of the rooms. The hotel has a significant captive market in Dunboyne so could be making a bit more effort. The ground and appearance from the outside give impression you’ve come to somewhere a cut above the rest.
Shower screen edgings very old and scruffy. Average breakfast (again for the price - would have expected better).
Not even a packet of biscuits in the rooms, just tea and coffee (as I said minor, but irritating at the price). Overall disappointing and could be improved massively given the apparent exclusivity of the hotel.
The hotel itself is very good...very quiet place..did not use the Spa but looked impressive. The breakfast was really good, I also dined in the 'Terrace' also good.
Only thing was the 'Sadlier' bar was closed (on a Thursday) which I thought was strange given the hotel was fairly full.
The room was very spacious , a little dated decor but nice nevertheless.
I would return here.
Good service, breakfast was a bit slow and eggs not great. Rooms are good and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Sadly this place would be very good but no EV charge point is what drops it to one star for me. I find this inexcusable.
Hotel staff made the stay for my son and I. Went above and beyond for his 6th birthday and he felt like a king. Bed was comfy, room was spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Dinner in the terrace lounge did take quite a while to come, but was still nice. Breakfast was lovely. All in all a great stay and will definitely be back
