"What a fabulous wee gem of a motel! Everything was perfect… even if the weather wasn’t so great. The loch just outside the hotel was brimming with wild trout and my husband loved fishing from the bank(included with stay). The deer paid a visit and looked in the window while we were watching the World Cup.
The room is beautifully appointed, containing everything required and more… very comfortable bed and linen, great shower pressure, heated towel rail , perfect little kitchen to self cater....
"We had an overnight stop at this hotel because we couldnt find accommodation closer to the NC 500 due to inflated cost/availability.
The Alnaharra Hotel was very nicely situated although it was well off the beaten track for us.
We had the Teal & Blue bedroom which was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was extra, but very nice when it eventually arrived having waited an hour for it to be served.
I think maybe the hotel was short staffed."
"They said the cooker was broken however we feel that they should have had someone to repair it asap. We understood there was no Tv or wifi but in this day and age anything is possible even if you have to raise the price. We were not told about electricity that it was a key meter it was only when an alarm was going off we traced it to electric box to find there was only 50p left on it we put key on and it added another £15 which went nowhere these are very expensive devices.
