Hyperion City Hotel

"We had the room on the 6th floor so our view was amazing! But the “hot tub” took over 30 min to even fill up and once it did we could see all the sand/dirt swirling around. The staff was also EXCELLENT! The breakfast was your standard hotel breakfast nothing special. The sandwich options at the bar were pre-made and wrapped up so they just tossed it onto the panini press so they were ok. The pool was clean but didn’t have a view of anything other than the side of a building. The walk to Old Town Chania was around 15 min if you followed the boardwalk which was beautiful and had access to a small beach. I’d recommend this place for the close proximity to Old Town (far enough that the noise won’t bother you at night) and the staff which were awesome while we stayed."

"This is an excellent hotel which I can find almost nothing to fault - perhaps draft beer and options (included paid) for a late check out! The breakfast was ace, the pool well-maintained, a useful gym, fantastic staff and superb location. Thanks for a great stay in Chania!"

"Decent hotel overall which ticks all the boxes without quite reaching any particular 'wow' factor. The private loungers on the beach were a highlight and the beach is clean with good sand, clear water and great for swimming. Theres also 2 additional pools which are decent and not busy even in peak season when we visited. Being an adults only hotel meant that it was peaceful without noisy kids taking over, however there are a lot of screeching cicadas in the area which are a bit like sitting next to a car alarm especially on the room's balcony area. We opted for half board which was unnecessary as we went into town for dinner, the evening buffet was ok but not amazing, breakfast buffet was good though. From chatting to locals this is one of the bigger hotels in the area and one of the few adults only. Its well regarded locally but having been to varoius other 5 star places it wasnt exceptional, but for Chania its a very good option. The hotel is well located with a handy public bus service into old town; Chania town is very pleasant and has a lot of good places to eat but the best restaurants are away from the harbour. Overall an enjoyable stay."

"Any time I am in Chania I will be staying here. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The amenities are amazing. The new chef has curated an absolutely delicious menu. Get the beet salad, it’s life changing. The burger was the best burger I’ve ever had. Dimitra, Stavroula, Esmania, and Anna-Maria were the sweetest servers. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The pool is just the right depth and temperature."

"Great holiday. Easy check-in, great team of staff that took care of every need we had; including a late check out request. The room was lovely and clean, with water supplied daily. We enjoyed cooling off in our plunge pool too. The breakfast service and breakfast selection was great. The beach is beautiful, with calm clean water. There were plenty of available loungers, towels provided, you could order delicious quality food and drinks direct from your lounger, which is brought to you. The beach bar, Sushi restaurant/bar and main restaurantall all serve delicious, high quality dishes... the main restaurant's al a carte dinner menu and desserts were amazing, with beach views and relaxed entertainment for ambience! Equally, the room service was excellent too. I'd definitely return because the team and staff are great and so are the facilities with a relaxed vibe, and lots of quiet and peace if you want it."

"This is a relatively new resort. The experience was very relaxing. Staff well trained. Very nice arrival experience. Restaurants were ok but not exceptional. Italian menu was relatively limited. There are a number of snagging items that need to be addressed in the room. Also staff forgot to refresh drinking water in our room on our second day. Swimming in the sea was incredible. All in all we came away very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the experience."

"We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room and grounds were immaculate and the staff in all areas could not have been more friendly and helpful. We loved the pool area and the beach. The breakfast was wonderful, lots of choice and nothing was ever empty."
