"We had a lovely stay at Vila Alpina. The room was clean and spacious the bed was comfy and there was plenty of parking. The communal outdoor space was really nice. The Vila is a short walk to the lake and the nearest restaurants, and about a 25 minute walk round to the larger town centre. The man on reception was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us lots of great recommendations for restaurants and things to do."

Three negatives: (1) the walls are VERY thin; we could hear our neighbors talking fairly clearly from the hallway and in our room, (2) the shower is very small and was leaking over the floor and (3) there is no elevator so we had to carry our bags up the stairs, but the staff did offer to help! "I would not recommend this place. Receptionist met us when we arrived. Told us there was staffing issues at their hotel in Blef. Gave us the code to the front doorand a number to call for emergencies. We went to dinner, came back at 930pm. There was not lights on inside or outside the hotel. We had the only car in the parking lot. We made our way up to the front door and had to find out where the light switches were. We fell on the steps . DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. "The owner was lovely, as were rest of the staff. We had a warm welcome and a tour of our room prior to check-in. The Superior room was incredible. Really nicely furnished, clean, plenty of complimentary amenities. We had an amazing meal in the evening - one of the nicest we've had in Slovenia, followed by an equally enjoyable breakfast.
