Excellent all round good menu selection, spacious room and attentive staff.
Great place to stay, easy for us to access Dorchester and Weymouth. Staff were all terrific, made the stay very welcoming. The room was lovely and comfortable (tiny bits of upkeep needed in the bathroom was my only point of feedback!) Would 100% recommend and stay again.
The staff were friendly and efficient The room was tastefully decorated and very clean although there were a couple of things could do with a tidy up and could do with some shelving in the bathroom. Food was excellent.
Clean, well appointed, convenient Inn. Food was very good.

Nice big room and en suite. However, the decoration could do with attention (peeling wall paper and bath panel) Lovely comfy bed and pillows. Tea/coffee, biscuits & water but these were not topped up for our second night stay.

Friendly staff. Good location for touring the local area. Nice breakfasts.
The evening meal was excellent. Very comfortable beds and a great shower and bathroom. Breakfast was from 9am from a menu and therefore a relaxing start to the day.
The rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything we required. Food in pub was lovely. The road was quite noisy.

Ideal for a brief stop.
A brief one night stay, very convenient. Comfortable & welcoming, nice light bathroom. On a busy road but little traffic at night. Just five rooms. Nice pub food.
Nice size room. Sadly we couldn’t open the window. Shower temperamental.
Had evening meal both days, they were fine.
Breakfast ok, but didn’t like paying for each item, this can add up and be expensive. Would rather have a set price.
Lots of onsite parking.

Not a place for breakfast…..more brunch
I’ve stayed before and came back again as the bar area and food was good as was the breakfast! The rooms are nice , just a little bit cobwebby and dusty.
However, the main issue, which is what will make me not return is the crazy time breakfast “Starts”……which is 10am?!?
At first I thought that was the end time, but I was corrected and told it was 10 because not a lot of people want it before then? I think this eliminates a lot of people who are there for work. I was told that a local Greggs would be open…..
Really a shame as the food/Beer is great but this decision is bonkers!
The person who greeted me (gentleman) wasn’t exactly helpful. Found my question regarding breakfast to be really odd as if I was asking something out of the ordinary for a hotel!
The room was nice, mattress not quite so, but overall no problems and it’s great for an overnight stay.
The main issue is that being an old coach house on a busy road if you’re a light sleeper you’re likely to be disturbed.
Ate in the restaurant which was excellent.
Went elsewhere for breakfast purely based on the interaction the day before.

The room was a great size, the bed was super comfy!
The only downsides really were the cobwebs and dust on the windows and light shade, small amount of dirt in the corners of the bathroom and room, and the cost of the food, for example £11.95 for a baguette at lunch time felt excessive.
Don't get me wrong, the toilet was spotless as was the bath and sink, it was just the edges of the rooms seemed to be left out. The bath also had a damaged side panel, which was on big deal, but there are just a few things that could have raised the bar.
Breakfast didn't start until 9:30 which we felt was quite late for a breakfast. There is only an option for hot food for breakfast and £6.95 the cheapest option for 2 eggs on toast no frills.
The food really was not worth the money and a huge let down.
The female staff were great, the gentleman in the morning was nice, but he really didn't seem to understand why I would want to look at a breakfast menu at 8am when it didn't start until 9:30am.... just small things that add up.
Nice, if all you want is a "basic" pub room for the night. There was a good basic pub menu. A respectable sprinkling of locals seem to consider it where they go. Not a lot of "olde worlde charm", but the sheets were clean, the plumbing modern and worked. Good HVAC provision. I'd stay here again. Seemed to be owner/operated- always a plus in my book, and the people we met tried to please.
