"Was a basic motel,great for overnight. Had a really good meal in the restaurant"

"The property was clean and amenities were good. But the service needs improvement. We got there at 9pm. The reception was closed. There was a sign said to call after hours. We called many times, the phone was not answered. The other things are that there is no kettle or coffee machine in the room. If you arrived after hours, you will have no way to get hot water or coffee. There was no tissue paper in the room either."

"We were in the lakeview room. This room would be fine for 2, but the pullout bed should be sent to the dump. It was horrible. We seriously considered finding another place to stay for the second night. On top of that, no internet for the entire stay, the bathroom door was terrible to open or close, and in the morning there is no way to sleep in past other tenants, because as soon as they turn on the water, a pump goes off right by your head…repeatedly. Find another place to stay."

"It is a beautiful property, but there were issues. No hot water , no telephone and the tv didn’t work. Hot water and tv problems were fixed with a phone call, but shouldn’t have been an issue."

"Was pleasantly surprised at how lovely and well maintained this property was. We stayed in room 8 which gave us our own balcony with chairs to enjoy our morning coffee. We also loved that they thought of everything robes for the hot tub, tea and Nespresso coffee , snacks and wonderful bath products . It is on the Main Street of Chéticamp which I hadn’t noticed in booking but it was a wonderful haven for our last night of our road trip nonetheless."

"Denise and Alan are a wonderful couple who evidently love to host. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we even had cookies and chocolate waiting for us!! Breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our history presentation and live music while we were eating. 10/10 recommend this sweet place. We have stayed at other accommodations in Cape Breton that cost more and they didn’t hold a candle to this place!! We hope to come back some day."

"I absolutely loved my stay here! I stayed here for 3 nights while travelling across Canada. The pod was clean and cozy upon arrival. There’s a fan, heater and extension cord to charge items and make yourself comfy. There’s ample parking, washrooms and showers, a kitchen to prep and store food and you’re close to cafes and the town. I’d love to return someday and have already recommended this place to so many of my friends who love the outdoors."
