"What a terrible mistake! We booked a family suite with 3 king size beds, on arrival the receptionist ( older lady) asked if we were only 2 and then downgraded us to a room like garage maisonette with 1 queen wonky bed and a queen pull out sofa!!!!! Nothing could be changed because they’d given out all of the others and the younger receptionist commented that she would pay full price for a room that she didn’t book and that wa also filthy!!!! Cobwebs, dust , peeling wallpaper, stone like cellar...

"Churchill Hotel’s location was outstanding. Very close to where all the Normandy Tours pick up. Also, the back entrance is on the towns main commercial road. Staff was ecpxtremely friendly and helpful. In the late evening , the lower floor can get noisy from guests. But overall, good experience"

"Charming older hotel with lots of historical ambience. Very unique rooms that give an old-world feel. I will definitely stay here again. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. They welcomed the guests with a complimentary bottle of sparkly Normandy cider. Breakfast was delicious and a great start to the day in the well-appointed Breakfast Room. Located an easy walk to the restaurants and the Cathedral, as well as the Tapestry Museum. Kudo's the St. Patrice!!!"

"It was my husband and I staying for 3 nights. We had one of the bigger rooms. It was very roomy and clean. The nights were quiet. Breakfast was great and offered at 7:30. They had a bar where you could get a drink after a long day touring and sit in the courtyard. We walked into town every night for dinner - only took 6 minutes. We would definitely stay again."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We came into Bayeux for a Normandy tour. The hotel is centrally located; an easy walk to the town center, the train station, and the pick up location for the tours. The staff was super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast was amazing. All the food was freshly cooked and there was a wide variety of food options. Nothing like a homemade breakfast to start the day. If you have the chance stay here; we recommend this hotel without...

"The property was well maintained and the room was spacious and updated. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Overall, a great place to stay."

"Incredibly small rooms and uncomfortable beds that crinkle when you move. Good breakfast and good location and parking if you have a car."

"Great hotel. Literally 1/2 a block from main street cafes/bistros. Within 3 blocks of multiple wonderful restaurants. Breakfast buffet is good, not exactly great but we went every day. Parking on site for 15 euros a day but worth it. Def will go back"

"Sehr schöne Lage in einem herrlichen Parkgelände."

"I can’t say enough about the level of service and quality of food and beverages. The hotel is a relaxing spot."

"This is essentially a 2 star hotel charging 4 star price You expect there to be a fridge and safe but no.The flooring is of vinyl which makes it difficult to get out of bed in the night. The sink is ridiculously small.Cleaners leave windows open which you only realised in the evening.. No air con for the summers. Breakfast is distinctly average.Only scrambled eggs which I don't like"

"Loved the location, close to the train station and the quaint downtown area. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We stayed in one of the modern orchard rooms which was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again."

"We stayed two nights. Room was comfortable, as expected for a three star hotel. We were looking for location with parking and this hotel fit the bill."

"Beautiful property with kind and friendly staff. I had a lovely massage at the spa. We enjoyed an excellent dinner at the restaurant 1812. About 7 mins drive to Bayeux. A good place to base yourself for tours of the region."

"The best part of this hotel is its location. The staff is friendly and helpful but the rooms are tiny and no tea/coffee facilities. The parking is very challenging: just go to the parking by the bus stop and hope for the best. Breakfast is very good. Their restaurant with the great views is good but overpriced. The “ aile of raie” ( ray flapper) was OK but for 10 euros cheaper it was MUCH better in Chinon. No great view though…"

"Gorgeous property, inside and outside. Sublime!"
