"Overall was pleased with this hotel as a solo female traveler. Feels like a hidden gem for a good price. The staff were friendly, my room was clean and serviced when needed, and the breakfast is amazing! There is a deli style cafe right next door that offers plenty of options for a meal, coffee, or snacks. Although, this property is not super close to a lot of tourist spots Plaza Foch is just a few blocks away and I found this to be a consistent meet up spot for tours, making it a great choice. "

"This is an incredibly charming hotel. Each room is creatively and uniquely decorated. The staff treated us like family, calling us by our first names each time they saw us. Breakfast is wonderful, as is the customer service. There was not a single thing that wasn't first rate. I highly recommend the Hotel La Basílica, and if we ever return to Quito, this will be where we stay. Special shout-out to Media, Josalie and Byron."
