Great location, great room

As far as the room it’s self, it was good. There was sand everywhere but that is expected with being right on the beach! The bed was not comfortable at all, but I don’t have the best back, So probably more me than the bed. The property wasn’t bad, however, while I love the security, the key to get anywhere was rough. And only having one key for two people was slightly inconvenient. While the property has two elevators, when we arrived one elevator was down. By the last day they were both down. Thank goodness we took our stuff to the car before it went down. Over all 5 stars! Great location. Great communication from the property manager!

Vacation 2024

Room was just fine, and process was fine. Only issues were broken slats on blinds, hole in the wall behind tv. I mention this for awareness, this did not affect our stay.

not perfection, but good

Our accommodations were basically good. We got an early check-in. We were missing hand soap and dish soap but when I called they had a bag of supplies hanging on our door the next morning. I pictures were fairly accurate, the location good and as stated. My only complaint as far as cleaning was the bath/shower surround. They had the sliding doors on tracks. I'm guessing it was clean but it looked gross in the tracks and on the edges on the doors....really needs a redo. I also think the inside of the bathroom cabinet and kitchen cupboards could use a good cleaning. The rest of the condo was clean and decorated nicely and the outside balcony was nice.

Beautiful View & Tastefully Decorated

I’ve staying at Harbour Beach Resort before & this room was absolutely great for the view & location in building. Loved the decor, the setup, the bed was comfy! I will be back!!!

The blinds on the window kept randomly falling at night and there was something that looked like black mold on the ceiling above the bed.

Great place on the beach

Overall the property, amenities and location were awesome. The only issue I had was trying to get ahold of someone late at night when locked out of my room due to the elevators being taken out of service without prior warning due to impending hurricane. Apparently ground floor stairwell door stays locked. Unforseen circumstance of course, and the person who responded was quite rude. Other than that minor detail, everyone and the property was great. Would stay here again for sure.

In the hood

Harbour beach was in the hood... the pool was nasty and the access gate to the beach was broke..had to use a key to get out of the buildin and into the pool area. That was lame..only 1 elevator worked so the wait to ride the elevator was over 15min at times

Birthday getaway

This location was perfect! With in walking distance to the boardwalk, restaurants and shops. Location was beautiful, clean and perfect for a sunrise view. Made my birthday weekend memorable!

NO Response to Problems

There is NO communication with Daytona Team. The door would not lock I’m a female traveling alone. To come back to an unlocked room was a bit unnerving. I called the 800 # with no results. They sent a message to the Daytona team. I got no response so called the Daytona team on the 2nd afternoon and left a message. The 3rd day I decided to swim in the ocean. I didn’t take anything with me, it was going to be a quick swim. Imagine my surprise when I got back to my LOCKED room! My phone with the code to unlock the door was in the locked room. I went to the Harbor Beach Resort office and explained my situation and the Manager called the VACASA office. They had sent someone over to fix the door while I was at the beach and locked me out! Condo was clean and decorated in bright beach vibe. There were no ice trays, there is an ice machine in the snack room but no ice bucket. I wasn’t planning on cooking but there was only 1 skillet and 4 cooking utensils. View is awesome. Access to beach was through the next door park. Pool was cleaned daily but due to wind it was always sandy. The hot tub was dirty. Some people may say it’s a plus but I found it to be a huge pain to have to have a key to go IN & OUT of the pool, work out room and snack area. There are restaurants, bars and a few shops in walking distance. I come to Daytona at least once a year, my normal lodging was devastated by the hurricanes, this was my 1st time at Harbor Beach and don’t plan n being back.

If you want an honest review, this is it.

Pros: the pictures are exactly what you get as long as you pay attention to everything closely(the shared balconies, small counter space if you plan to cook, etc.). The resort is right on the beach and pier is close enough to walk to. There are activities, including family friendly activities that are minutes away from the resort Cons: we got a code that the owner said would get us into our room and then they stated we could use a key to lock our room. key did not lock our room, we had to use the 10 digit code that opened the door. The key only got us into the arcade and pool area. I luckily memorized the code by the second day so it was fine but my bf did not so I was the only one that had to open and lock the door every time we went in and out. Despite the no smoking signs in the resort, we constantly smelled marijuana not only outside but the smell was stuck in our room multiple times we were always airing it out, and when I tried to text and call about it I got no response and it was never addressed. When trying to eat breakfast and drink coffee out on the balcony in the morning or down by the pool we were overwhelmed with cigarette smoke from people right next to us and couldn’t enjoy ourselves. We could never find anyone working at a desk or anything, It’s basically fend for yourself if you have an issue. The bed was a ROCK. We have a firm bed at home, but this was beyond that. We woke up sore for the first few days and we’re a young couple. There was so much construction going on at the pool area that there was caution tape blocking off access from the pool to the beach so we had to walk around. Not the biggest issue but not pretty and we didn’t know prior to booking/showing up. Also the pool waterfall wasn’t working. Again not an inconvenience and didn’t ruin our vacation, but these are selling points in photos that weren’t working and blocked off when we showed up so an eye sore. we got out of the hot tub and noticed a fishy smell on our skin that we did not have when we got in. We asked another couple people about it the next day that were in it with us and they noticed the same thing. I don’t know if the water comes from the ocean, but it can’t be cleaned or treated regularly with that smell.

Great stay!

The room was beautiful-freshly redone, new mattress and nicely stocked. Stunning view! Walls are thin so you hear your neighbours. Pool area & hot tub is always busy. Resort is clean and a shout-out to the local Vacasa property caretaker!

Plan ahead

Could not get ahold of the Daytona team on the day we were checking in and we were concerned we wouldn’t be able to check in to our hotel but luckily a receptionist was there until 10 and we were able to get in fine. Room is convenient and has a great view. Good for families

Quick beach getaway

The location is wonderful. Right on the beach, beautiful ocean view from balcony. Walking distance to pier/shops/restaurants. The bed (queen size) was less than blissful. Mattress covered in a waterproof wrap made it really hot and crinkly. Mattress was super firm. (I didn’t mark less stars here, just something I’d want to know when searching for a place…) Check in was somewhat of a hassle. Apparently there should have been an email with identification verification and another email with parking/vehicle registration. Neither of which made it to my inbox, so we spent 25 minutes on the phone with Vacasa to get it sorted out (and only half the info could be taken over the phone, it still email vehicle registration). All in all, I guess we got what we paid for with this property. Cheap beach front condo.

Weekend getaway

We have stayed in this condo building several times, different unit’s. It’s old but clean. Great location to the pier and restaurants. The condo itself is good for one or two people. If you bring children bring a blanket because there were no extras. This unit wasn’t really equipped for cooking meals but it was okay because we ate out. Great pool area. Plenty of seats and grills.

The pictures of unit showed stovetop when we booked. Upon arrival after buying groceries to cook breakfast in the room we discovered the stovetop didn't work and there was only a hotplate to cook on. The parking was horrendous! Everytime you went out and came back there was NO PARKING spots to be found. We had to park and walk to the property most anytime we came back.

Nice location but will not return

The location of the unit was decent and the view from the balcony was great, but we will not be back. Upon arrival to the unit, the floors were dirty, the sheets had stains on them, one of the pots still had oil in them, the stove did not work, one of the microwaves did not work, there was a hole in the wall next to the kitchen table, the balcony door did not lock, and the bed was hard as a rock. We actually ended up leaving early.

Bike Week stay...nice view but overpriced

This condo is in a great location for Bike Week festivities. The view from the balcony is superb and the condo is clean. However the two beach chairs that were for use in the closet were in horrible shape. One was so rusted that when we sat on it the chair collapsed. There was only one coffee cup in the kitchen. The sliding glass door did not lock. There was a pole there for It but it didn’t secure the door for locking purposes. This wouldn’t have been an issue on the 4th floor normally. However the balconies were all accessible from our neighbors on each side. When I found out that I paid 3 times the amount for my 4 days that my neighbor did I was extremely disappointed. The cleaning and administration fees are outrageous. The building manager Harbour Beach Reaort gave me three names of individuals to contact directly for future rentals.

Terrible communication

The communication with VACASA was terrible. We felt like we was on our own. We tried calling our “manager” about some things ie...remote for TV, sliding glass door wouldn’t lock.... we tried to get explanation about check out and was told to put key back where we got it. I’m not uneducated however I couldn’t figure out how to unlock the box to put keys back in and I called and texted the “manager” on duty. No response until 3 hours later when she called because the housekeeper couldn’t find the key... “really cause if she did any cleaning she would have found it on the refrigerator... not happy with VACASA at all!!!! Won’t use again

Better than We expected.

The room was so clean, We were excited for the the oceanview. The pool was amazing. But the entire best experience was the staff. Linton the night shift employee was absolutely our favorite. He made us feel welcome. Hard worker. We had any questions he was eager to help or answer all of our questions. Linton you my friend are AMAZING!!!. Jim was our second favorite. Always trying to fix the pool door.. haha. He walked around saying hi to everyone and making sure we didn't need anything. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the best experience ❤️
