"It felt like staying at a friend’s house, but with enough space you could escape. We loved the extra touches such as the open fire pits to make s’mores and the pool room."

"We liked the bar/common area with fireplaces and had a good dinner at the Virgin Kitchen restaurant. The sauna was not hot enough for me, but I am from Sweden. The place is a bit bigger than I expected, so less cosy than a boutique hotel."

There was a reverse cycle air conditioner but that was not sufficient to heat the room for Winter temperatures. There was very little reception for the TV so not all channels were available. The room itself was nice and big and set out well but definitely needed some maintenance, particularly to the front door and...

"Excellent lakeside location with beautiful views of the lake. Check in was easy. Large, clean rooms. Comfortable bed for restful sleep."

Great restaurant/pub across the road. Walkable to main street, but beware of distance if you want easy walkable access to everything."

"Great stay for a family of five in older style motel setting. Clean and comfortable and close to town. Heating worked a treat and we appreciated the electric blankets, spare blankets and pillows. For a budget family stay in Daylesford it does the job perfectly."
