"This is my honest review: The exterior of the hotel and lobby are original, with beautiful architecture, and the location is very central. However, the rooms and hallways were outdated and felt unclean—there was black mould in the grout on the bathroom tiles, and the carpets clearly needed a professional cleaning. I understand this may be part of the hotel’s “aesthetic,” but I don’t think there’s any excuse for the room being dirty. Much of the furniture in the room also felt like it needed updating. The carousel bar was packed every time we went, so we eventually gave up trying to get in (which was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel). It’s also very close to Bourbon St, so walking back after dark didn’t feel like the safest experience. Overall, nothing about the hotel really stood out to us—it was simply a place to sleep."

"After more than ten visits to the French quarter I think I've found the one. Very accommodating and extremely friendly. No issues when I needed to check in early and out late. Looking forward to seeing French market inn again, and what I will call my favorite place to lay my head in the city so far!"

"The location of the rental was in a questionable neighborhood with the access road in very poor shape.The cleaning people were still there when we arrived, had to wait an hour before we could enter the condo.The rental itself was passable; rooms were clean, there was plenty of hot water, but physically it had a feeling of the structure sloping, unlevel. Doors were difficult to close, like they were warped; walking up/down the stairs was a challenge, several lights were out/not working. We will not be a repeat renter!"
