"Stephanie checked us in, and was pleasant and efficient. She then called us about a half an hour later called and asked if we were satisfied with the room and asked if we needed anything. The breakfast wasn't exciting, but good. And the man who prepared the food was also really good, explaining what they had and asking if we needed anything. Clean and quiet room, nice people and a solid breakfast. I couldn't ask for more."

"The cabin was a little smaller than what was pictured. The ladder to get to the bed was insane. Guests should be warned. There needs to be some sort of slant to the ladder somehow. It is very steep and not much head room clearance. Even for a younger person, it is difficult to get into bed. Maybe put a sign at the top of the trail cut in so that guests know to turn onto the gravel path. It’s very hard to see in the dark. Other than that, very clean, very nice off grid living. Great location."

"We wanted a short getaway with our dog. Temperatures were so hot. Cumberland falls/river/lake was just the ticket to try and be cool. Our dog jumped in the river for the first time, and she's 3 years old! (Rather timid) The host was very personable. The area is quiet. Very animal-friendly."

"We enjoyed our stay at Bear's Den! Everything was well described in the property description and it was very clean! The hosts communication was excellent and the delicious homemade Almond Poppy Seed bread and fresh eggs were an added treat! The location was very close to Cumberland Falls Resort Park where we went and saw the Moonbow one night and was a short drive to Sterns KY for the Big South Fork Railway trip to the old Blue Heron Coal Mine. On our way out we also went to the Natural Arch Recreational area and enjoyed our hike and saw 2 arches. Highly recommend this rental for a private, quiet getaway!"
