This hotel is in need of a renovation: my room has a bent doorframe, and the bathroom sink is draining slowly. Service and cleanliness are comparable to other Red Roof Inn locations.

Towels are too small, need bigger towels. Clean bathroom & sleep area. TV worked well. Fridge worked well. Curtain needed fixing. Not bad at all for price.

Disappointing stay. Check in was easy. Stairwell walk up to third floor - no elevator - was a bit dirty. Bathroom door in room had large crack running across it. Bathroom sink didn’t have a stopper. Hot water didn’t work at all. Cold water leaked in a small, steady stream. I told the front desk but no action was taken. Furniture in room was looking pretty rough. Quiet. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Very convenient location right off VA 29 and close to places to eat.

There was an air freshener that was too strong, I was overwhelmed. The chair at the desk was torn and worn out, they need to replace it. The linen was dirty looking, with nasty spots. One of the pillow cases came off the pillow and there was blood on the pillow. I’ll never stay there again.

Let me start by saying the staff was extremely friendly and easy to work with. The hotel itself, at least my room, while clean, was in bad need of repair. There were several broken floorboards, the room was dark, the AC made lot of noise and the shower head was in serious need of replacement. All of that I could live with based on the inexpensive rate for me and my dog. The real problem was the people on the property. There were a lot of people hanging around in the parking lot drinking way too much. At least two people slumped over with drool coming from their mouths, followed by vomiting. The police and EMT's were there the first night of my stay. If they can manage what goes on around the property and make some repairs to the rooms, this would actually be a perfectly acceptable place to stay.

My first concern was walking back to my room as all of the smoke/fire detectors were literally hanging by their wires below the ceiling tiles in the hallway. My room reaked of some sort of Aerosol spray I presumed to mask other odors. Upon opening the window for fresh air I found it to be full of dead bugs and live flies. The window screen had was pushed out exposing the room to insects. I observed two dead flies stuck to the ceiling above the bed. It appeared someone had wiped their snot on the wall next to the head board, the ice bucket lid had some form of growth or mold on the inside. A cockroach was seen to run behind the toilet tank, the bath tub walling had mold under the edges and the toilet appeared as if someone had wiped their poop on the outside next to the toilet. I have pictures of all. "DO NOT STAY HERE! Had I not just ridden 600 miles and it's being late I would have demanded a refund. When I'm on a M/Cycle trip I'm not real picky but this was just nasty. I will never stay at a Red Roof again. As well I have pictures to back up every statement above and intend to contact authorities in Culpeper and Red Roof Corporate.
