Inaccurate property description

We rented this property based on its' location in Crystal River and the ability to have a boat. This is a very nice property, very clean, well-supplied kitchen but it is in Ozella not Crystal River and is on the St. Martin's River which, unless one is very familiar with the river, is not navigable during winter tides. Since the only reason we rented was to have a boat, we notified the owner within 24 hours that we would be staying only 1 week not 4 due to the inaccuracy of the property description. She was not amenable to a refund; I offered to cover all the charges and 1/2 the rent of the remaining 3 weeks. VRBO stated that was fair. She refunded 300, VRBO refunded the remainder of the 1/2. As already stated, the house is very nice but if it's winter & you want to have a boat, that isn't going to work.

Cute backwater getaway

Plenty of water views. When on the back patio you can see multiple areas of water. There is a table with chairs and a grill to use(not rockig chairs as in one of the photos) a floating dock, very spacious kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The garage is loaded with kayaks, fishing gear and snorkeling gear. Hot water, comfy beds, a large tv and couch. Plenty of brochures for things to do in the area(we did an airboat tour) Our personal issue was not enough window coverings, luckily we dont think the neighbors were there. The windows were so cloudy from possibly poor cleaning? we had to wipe them to see out better. Overall we were completely satisfied and would definitely return.

Great off the beaten path

The property was awesome. A comical occurrence when there was no extra toilet paper in the bathrooms and we had to beg the local marina to sell us some to keep from having to drive back to "the mainland"

Great place for a girls weekend!

Loved this vacation spot! Off the beaten path - yet close to everything. Unit was just as described and very clean. 2BR, one king, one queen. 2 full baths. The two of us had plenty of room to spread out. Easy parking at the home for our 2 cars. We reached out to the owner on the first day of our stay and she was quick to respond. Very nice to rent direct from the owner!

Nice unit with great views.

Very nice unit with a great view. It was to cold to use kayaks or be on the water. I would love to come back in the spring or summer. the rental agents were great too.

Wonderful

the best in every way; clean, wonderful bathrooms with amazing hot water showers. Welcome basket with goodies on arrival. Kitchen has the necessary appliances for those who want to cook. We did not use the canoes or kayaks, but they are there with life vests and anything that is needed. We were looking for a quiet time off during the holidays and this house fit into that pattern perfectly. I would stay at this home again and again and again.

Ozello Vacation

We enjoyed our time at this property. The hosts were very accommodating with a welcome basket and great communication. We were able to fish right off the dock in the backyard. There were four kayaks available at the property which we enjoyed all weekend long. A great restaurant within walking distance was recommended by the host. We will definitely be back.

Friend Gathering

We had the greatest time staying in this charming home. It was perfect for the 4 of us! We loved being on the water, ability to walk to a couple places for food, short driving distance to another great place for dinner, and of course located close to several springs! We can’t say enough about the host Sherri! She could not have been more helpful, on top of everything, always available if you had a question or needed anything. We were grateful for her and her husband for the stay at their home! We look forward to going back!

Great family get away!

We loved the location and the property. It was perfect. Sherri had a basket of goodies waiting for us. What a wonderful surprise!! Spent the 4th of July holiday with our daughter from Kissimmee. Kayaked all week. Caught fish from the dock. Perfect! Just remember your bug spray since it is located in the estuaries of west central Florida. Thanks for a lovely stay. Mark, Judy, & Jessica
