"Very cool place to stay. There was a bar with pool table and some board games. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant. The staff was very kind and gelpful"
"We were in a room set up for people in wheelchairs, which was super spacious but the sink was so small and low that it was hard to use. The pool was nice and warm but the ladies changing room was out of service and that meant we had to go back to our room to use the toilet. There’s no restaurant but the location is fantastic and close to everything. Breakfast was so so."
"The building looks very old and historic on the outside. Inside is beautiful, clean, and modern. The tub was deep and big, making for a relaxing soak at the end of the day. Lots of restaurants close by, local distillery, pubs and castle all within walking distance.
There was a hot breakfast you could order plus a continental selection of pastries, yogurt, fruit. Only suggestion would be to have fresh fruit mix. The melon needed tossed and the rest looked canned."
"Outer building a little tired but the view from the rooms, exceptionally friendly staff, good food and cleanliness overcomes that. I recommend for families and folk with dogs."
"This is really a great place to explore the town and the nearby places. Good parking, helpful staff, loads of choice for breakfast and the rooms are ideal and spotlessly clean. What more could you ask for?"
"We had a lovely overnight stay at the Angus Hotel. Great value for money, with friendly and helpful staff. Be sure to book your swimming slot in advance, as the pool gets very busy. The restaurant closes between 5-6pm, so we missed the chance to eat there, but the chippy across the road was excellent. As it’s an older building, the floors can be quite creaky, but overall we really enjoyed our stay."
