Luxury Loft in Downtown Columbia with Rooftop Terrace

On Valentine’s Day 1945, a south Georgia born boy and a young Sicillian woman from Wisconsin, met across a hotel lobby in Milwaukee. He, a classically trained violinist and she, an elevator operator with poems in her heart and stars in her eyes. It was love-at-first sight and they wed that night. To get by in between gigs, young and starving newlyweds wrote songs that they sent off to everyone in Billboard magazine. Their first hit, Country Boy was being performed by Little Jimmy Dickens at the Grand Ole Opry as they pulled their dilapidated trailer and two baby boys into Nashville’s Rainbow Trailer Court. Boudleaux and Felice Bryant went on to get 800 songs cut, including hits such as Bye Bye Love, Wake Up Little Susie, Rocky Top, and All I Have to Do is Dream. As Nashville’s very first professional songwriters, they have been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Hall of Fame, and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and have garnered dozens of awards.

Felice and Boudleaux are no longer with us but their legacy, love story, and music lives on.
