"Expedia does not tell you they don’t answer phone calls from foreign numbers & they have no front desk/ staff on site so only way to communicate is thru Expedia. I couldn’t get continental breakfast because Expedia blocks emails & they couldn’t send me payment link. No food or beverage available on site or within walking distance. Food delivery was lame, cash only & no utensils. Decent shower, bed & wifi"

"We stayed at Knockderry Country House Hotel as a group and had booked seven rooms. The hotel has some clear positives: the location is very beautiful, right by the loch, and the setting is peaceful and atmospheriс, the staff are nice and friendly. The rooms were generally comfortable, and the building itself has charm. However, our overall experience was only okay, and I would probably not choose to stay here again. "Beautiful castle hotel, inside and out. Only suggestion I have would be to put a fan in each room during the summer, as you can’t open the windows due to the midgies and it gets quite warm when it’s 20° outside. Definitely take a hike around the island. Stunning views!"
