"Out of our two week trip, best stop. Close to Yosemite, most scenic and beautiful stay. Little babbling brook, super safe for kids to play in. Favorite spot on a two week trip, and we stopped different place nightly. "
"Nice quiet property, beautiful space on the river side, easy to walk to dining and downtown, The staff were friendly, especially Roxanne and Rocky dog at the front desk. Comfortable bed too!"
"The owner checked us in and told us of some awesome local hot springs to check out. He also pointed us to the best food choices in town. The rooms were restored nicely, very spacious, and clean. The owner even gave us a little tour and talked about some of the building’s history. Very much enjoyed the communal espresso machine, fridge, and back porch. A nice relaxing stop!"

"Love the location with views of the lake as well as the great all around restaurant - best breakfasts anywhere!
We didn't like that the ice machine was unavailable in our building and the one in the next was quite slow and didn't give you much. Other than that, all was good."
"We had two small children with us so we chose the motel style room, and used the picnic table area to set up our camp stove for dinner and breakfast. The camp kitchen also had a microwave which was very handy!
Upon arrival, we got a welcome bag with a smores kit and fish food for the trout tanks. At first I thought the room was pricey but then I realized what it’s worth - watching my kids giggle while the fed the fish, making smores next to the ricer and then getting our feet wet, playing lawn games for hours! It was so much more than just a place to spend the night, it was a place to just be. "
"When we arrived at the Historic West Walker Motel and opened the door to our room we were shocked. The room was extremely small. About 2feet between the bed and the wall. The kitchenette was a counter with a sunk, a coffee pot, and a hot pad. There was a window AC unit. The spaces on each side of the AC unit had cardboard to keep out the outside. We were able to contact the Luxery hitel by phone abd after a lengthy conversation we were moved to a much nicer room. We were told we wouldn't be able to stay both nights. About 1000 pm we were finally told we could stay in the nicer room. It was a frustrating experience, but I am appreciative that they did move us and decided to let us stay. "
