"What a WONDERFUL stay we had at the Cactus Inn! We got a room last minute, later in the evening, and they had my key ready in a box when we got there! It was such a simple check- in after a a long drive...much appreciated. The room itself was clean and had such cute character. We loved the table and chairs outside the room, and the bench at the end of the beds for our bags. They even had waters and popcorn for us! We will definitely stay there again as we travel Rt 66."

The Tonkawa Homestead at Caprock Canyons

10/10 Excellent
"We had such a relaxing and peaceful visit here! We were visiting the area for my nephew’s graduation from Texas Tech, and the drive into Lubbock is easy and pretty - so nice to visit with family there but also have a few days of quiet family time in Quitaque. Caprock Canyons is less than 4 minutes drive from the house and a highlight of our trip. The home itself is spacious, charming, and welcoming, with historic character, comfortable beds and bedding, plenty of hot water and good towels, and a great kitchen set-up with dishes and utensils for a large family. The outdoor space is inviting with covered porches, outdoor games, a secret hideout tree our kids adored, and gorgeous sunrises, sunsets, and starry nights. Communication with our host was friendly and efficient. Thanks for a great stay!"
